Reading the
above reference in the Book of Revelations, you will observe that when the Lamb
opened the first four seals, John saw four Horses in the following order:
1st
------------------- White horse (White symbolizes ‘Peace’)
2nd
--------------------Red Horse (Red symbolizes ‘Blood’ or ‘War’)
3rd
---------------------Black Horse (Black symbolizes ‘Darkness’ or ‘Austerity’ or
‘Hardship’)
4th
---------------------Pale Horse (Pale symbolizes ‘Death’ & ‘Hell’)
These four
horses have eluded me for a long time as I prayed for understanding and
searched what they meant by the Spirit of the Scriptures(the Holy Spirit),
until today as God guided me into the book of Zechariah 6: 1 – 8.
Zechariah the
Prophet of the Old Testament saw “Four Chariots”, in the following order:
1st
--------------------Red Horses
2nd
-------------------Black Horses
3rd
-------------------White Horses
4th
-------------------Grisled (i.e. Grey) & Bay (brown with black points)
horses
From the Book
of Zechariah, I understood that these ‘Horses’ are four spirits of the heavens,
which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. Zech. 6: 5
Now the Clues.
Clue#1:
According to
Zechariah, the black & white horses went into the North country and the grisled(grizzled) horses went into the South country. Zech. 6: 6
I have
already treated “Kings of the North & Kings of the South” in a separate
blog.
The King of
the North represented Greece, while the King of the South represented Persia.
The North
also refers to today’s ‘West’, while the South represents today’s ‘East’.
From what I
see here, God said that the North country will produce peace on the earth as he
declared to Prophet Zechariah that ‘…these
that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country’.
Zech.6: 8
These are
very significant.
It appears
from Revelations 6 & Zechariah 6, that while the North (Greece or the West
or Europe) will bring some Peace to the World, the South (Persia or the East)
would bring about War and much Calamity. The North also signifies ‘Babylon’.
See another treatise I have called ‘Babylon the Great’ in a separate blog.
Also, out of
the North (aka West) will break out famine and Austerity. Hence, the Black
horses.
“…a measure of wheat for a penny, and three
measures of barley for a penny, and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”
Rev. 6: 6
The Pale horses had no geographical coverage. They walk to and fro
through the earth. Zech.6:7. But they portend evil for the whole world.
“…power was given unto them over the
fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with the
beasts of the earth.” Rev. 6: 8
Hence, the next time you sit in your living room watching the news reeling out of your popular news stations and they highlight global issues from the West and East, then let him who reads understand....
