Climate Change
Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years.(Wikipedia.org).
Global Climate Change has become a recurring phenomenon and you can hear it everywhere in the print, e-, broadcast media. It is no more a term that is of concern only to scientists but now has become a key concern for politicians and the business world across the globe.
All these "Vital Signs of the Planet", what are they pointing to? What are there causes and what should a saint of God and the rest of the world seek to understand from these things?
I will show us something very vital from the book of Revelations and then encourage us to "hear", "read" and "keep" the words contained in the Book of Prophecy for these last times.
"And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree." Rev. 7: 1
Now if you ask me what this portends, I will tell you "danger!" and "disaster". Today, the world is crying from the effects of earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. Are you telling me that these are not the worst things that shall come? Yes. In fact, Jesus called them "the beginning of sorrows".
Just imagine if the wind should stop blowing over the earth for just five minutes what distaster this would cause?
I am not hear to call doomsday or to make you fear and panic. If you fear because of those prophecy above, then channel your fear aright. Simply "fear God and repent calling on the name of His son Jesus for salvation". I am not here to make you fear but to help you get prepared.
From the prophecy above, the worst has not occured yet. But we need to be prepared. How? By building "infrastructures" ? No. Infrastructures and even the best of it can never save any man from these "plagues". The only time man can help himself in the face of these things is when he realizes that someone higher and greater than himself needs to be sought for help.
See what the Almighty questioned Job of Uz:
"Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail?" Job 38: 22
The answer to these "climatic" puzzles or climatic changes do not come or reside with the UN nor the Scientists, whatever name they come by. Man and men must look up to God for answers in these last days. He revealed these prophecies to us so we should call upon him in his Son, Jesus Christ for salvation from these things.
"Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." Rev. 14: 7
Though kowledge has been increased in our day and time, these advances in technology or "technologies" will not and can never save man from the "effects of sin".
"...whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered..." Joel 2: 32
Our God is a merciful God "...keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love Him, and to them that keep His commandments..." Daniel 9: 4
As He reels out his judgements and punishments for sin and iniquity upon nations in these days, He also makes a way of escape , namely, fear God and give him glory. Do not blaspheme him, his Son and the host. He will show mercy and compassion when we turn to him in repentance, asking and interceding for our nations.
So I encourage you, no matter what region or country on the globe where you reside, simply stand in the gap on behalf of the nation you represent and let us pray and intercede for His mercy to be poured out on the earth and He will pour out his Holy Spirit on the nations.
Having said these things, it will become of utmost importance for me to remind us of His Covenant and the Seal of His Covenant.
