What I am posting today has to do with a spectacular demonstration by a popular Man of God which seem to offend lots of Christians and unbelievers in our time. And that is the waving of hand by a man of God, namely Prophet T.B. Joshua.
This Prophet is known to demonstrate mighty miracles through "waving of the hand". The reason I have taken my time to write about this was the fact that it offended lots of Christians and children of God and sincerely so because of their ignorance of the Word of God.
When you watch Emmanuel TV you will often see Prophet T.B Joshua and other Wise men waving their hands over the oppressed, over a distance( without physically touching). In my early days of viewing I got a little confused as all my Christian life all I have known is "laying on of hands". However, I searched the Holy Scriptures to discover the truth for myself and found that that was a usual manifestation of God.
If you look above this blog posts you will see a man who looks very happy and who seem to have experienced some form of healing. His name is Naaman. He was a captain of the Syrian army. This man, when he came to meet Elisha the prophet of God in Israel, the man of God told him
"Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean" 2Kings 5: 10.
Instead of heading immediately to the river, he got offended and said "...I thought He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place, and recover the leper." 2Kings 5: 11. Notice that he expected that the Man of God should wave his hand over him as it used to be the custom of men of God in their days.
Next time, you see this Prophet T.B. Joshua waving his hand, please desist from speaking against it because it is NORMAL FOR MEN OF GOD TO DO SO.
WISDOM IS JUSTIFIED BY HER CHILDREN. Luke 7:35
