PassOver 2015

Passover 2015

The passover of 2015 began on

The passover is a significant ordinance or custom that was instituted by Moses under strict instruction from Jehovah as He prepared to take the Children of Israel out of Egypt. This ceremony is so important that G-d marked it in the "head" of the year for the Jews(Correction: Passover is not the head of the Jewish Year but Rosh Hashanah). We all know the story how Israel was instructed to strike the blood of the Lamb without spot and blemish on the side posts and lintel of their houses and hence the Angel of death and destruction passed over the Jews but Egypt was not spared , as they did not obey that instruction.
Now, the reason why I am posting this blog is that it dawned on me that this celebration was an ordinance which G-d instructed Israel to keep as a statute forever in all their dwellings and generations and it is still being kept by the Jews today. How striking. Above you will see the date of the Passover for the year 2015!

First of all, this is a proof to all of us that the story of the Deliverance of Israel from Egypt as depicted in the Torah , Pentateuch and the Bible is true and accurate as its observance by Jews worldwide re-tells the story of the truth of the Holy Script.

Now, what is the significance of this occasion? The Passover occurs in the Head of the Jewish Calender, in the month of Nissan or month of Abib(Correction: Not the head of the year). G-d instructed through Moses that this ceremony be kept from the 10th of the same month till the 14th day of same month. He also gave instruction on the rituals to observe during this High Sabbath. Well, the objective of this discourse isn't about the details of the ordinance but to throw light on the Calender of G-d.
According to the Bible, G-d's calender of the year begins in the month of April(Jewish equivalent is the month of Nissan).

So, in G-d's calender , the Passover is marked in the first month of the year!(Correction: Rosh Hashanah is the Head of the Year and that's about September). How significant that G-d delivers Israel from Egypt in the head of the year. This also shows us something about the expression in the Book of Revelations Chapter 13 and verse 8. "...the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
The calender we have today, as used by the secular world is not same as the Jewish calender and hence ought to be used in context. The scripture also shows us that Jesus was crucified during the passover which coincides with Easter.
"Ye know that after two days is the feast of the Passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified." Matthew 26: 2
From the Hebrew perspective, the "foundation of the world" is the Head or Beginning of the Year and that is the month of April or Nissan(Corrected, Not Beginning of the Year).
As Christians. our Passover must be observed during the communion which Jesus instituted for the Church. He has fulfilled the Passover and we have been redeemed from Death and Hell by the power of His blood! There is power in the Blood of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Wherever you are and you have not accepted Jesus as Lord of your life, then this period is a time of reminder that you should call upon his name. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" Acts 4: 12
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord(Jesus) shall be saved" Romans 10: 12

I also use this medium to call upon the Jews wherever they live in this world that there is no need looking for Moshiach anywhere else except in the name of Jesus Christ. He fulfilled all the signs that points the House of Israel to the truth. He is the Messiah.

He is the High Priest in the Order of Melchizedek, and has passed through the heavens into the Most Holy Place in the Heavenly tabernacle and who will now return to reign as the Great King. Amen.
